Rowdy Rathore, the Vikramarkudu remake- Story of Rowdy Rathore

Vikramarkudu is one of the cult movies in Tollywood, of which Rowdy Rathore is a remake. The Telugu action thriller was directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starred Ravi Teja (who is known as Akshay Kumar of the South) opposite Anushka Shetty. Ravi Teja had a double role in the film. Vikramarkudu was remade as Siruthai, in Tamil, which had Karthi and Tamannaah in lead roles and then into Kannada as Veera Madakan. Vikramarkudu, the tried and tested movie will now rechristen itself as Rowdy Rathore, with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. In fact, it ls also going to be remade into Bikram Singha- The Lion is back, a Bengali film. Here is the story of Rowdy Rathore

Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a small time thief who likes to do dare-devil stunts and do the unthinkable before making good with potfuls of money. One day, when he and his friend steal a huge suitcase, he is surprised to find a little girl in it, who claims that Shiva is her father. Stunned by the turn of events, Shiva decided to find out who the real father of the girl is.

It turns out that the father of the girl is a cop known as Vikram Rathod (Akshay Kumar) who has been in the run from the underworld gangsters who want to kill him. Vikram knows that he has to take care of his daughter, which is why he leaves her in the hands of Shiva. Vikram is killed by underworld goons right in front of Shiva and it is up to Shiva to fill in for Vikram and take revenge.

Rowdy Rathore is a masala action movie with generous dose of comedy, action, tense moments, drama and thrills and if done properly, it can become a massive hit.
