Taare Zameen Par moves ahead

Bollywood Trends is turning out more to be a blog for Taare Zameen Par, but guys ‘n’ gals, can’t help it-Taare Zameen Par is one of the finest movies of our generation. Today we deal with other movies that also dealt previously with mentally and/or physically challenged people but couldn’t get the box office reception that Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par commanded:

Iqbal(2005): One of the finest and creative film of 2006 directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Starring Sheryas Talpade as the protagonist, it told a simple but inspiring tale of a cricket obsessed economically deprived deaf and mute youth who yearns to play for the Indian cricket team. It was the highest gross low-budget film of the year.

Black(2005): Regarded by critics as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s best work to date, it proved that a songless movie could work well too. The movie sparkled due to excellent performances of Rani Mukherjee, Amitabh Bachchan and Ayesha Kapoor. Rani played a deaf, dumb and blind character directed sensitively by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But the movie had its share of faults, wherein I share the same views like that of Aamir Khan. The scenes where the Big B is shown trying to force the kid to eat by shouting and screaming, did not make sense. Also how could a parent give an alcoholic teacher the responsibility to look after their kid?

Dard Ka Rishta: Sunil Dutt’s 'Dard Ka Rishta' told the story of a little girl suffering from cancer. The movie did not do a good business however. Dard Ka Rishta launched the career of Khusboo who played the little girl.

'Kunwara Baap' (1974): Story of poor rickshaw-puller(acted and directed by Mehmood) who adopts an illegitimate polio affected boy was a moving one and managed to succeed too.

If Shahrukh Khan gets the award instead of Darsheel Safary than it's a fix, come on Shahrukh Khan isn't doing anything diferent than his usual acting, anyway to cut the story short Darsheel defenitly deserves one, after all he taught every one the value of every individual.Well done to Amir Khan and Darsheel.

DARSHEEL SAFARY SHOULD GET AWARD UNDOUBTFULLY HE IS ONE OF THE BEST ACTORS I HAVE SEEN TILL DATE.IF FILMFARE IS GIVING AWARD TO SHAHRUKH THEN IT LL BE UNJUSTICE.THAT MEANS UR IGNORING DARSHHEL AND HIS EXTRAORDINARY TALENT SHARUKH IS SUCH A BORE REPEATING HIMSELF DARSHEEL IS MY FAVOURITE ACTOR HE TAUGHT US THAT U DON'T NEED SIZE AND EXPERIENCE TO TEACH WHAT ACTING IS.IF FILMFARE IS NOT GIVING AWARD TO DARSHEEL THAT MEANS THEY ARE PARTIAL TO SAHRUKH AND DON'T RESPECT REAL TALENT.I HOPE FILMFARE SHOULD BE FAIR ENOUGH
