Who is the best among Khans?-Why Saif Ali Khan rocks!!

Shahrukh Khan is called King Khan, Aamir is the Ace Khan, Salman Khan is a Rockstar while Saif Ali Khan is the stylish Khan. But among the Khans who rock the box office and are going strong with every passing movie... which of the Khans is actually the most versatile actor? Who is the best among the four Khans-Shahrukh, Salman, Aamir or Saif? Who has the chance of going strong in the next five-six years?

For the first in the four post series, let us look at the most stylish and alluring of them all-Saif Ali Khan.

Saif Ali Khan is the USP of Race, they say. From being one of the most improved actors in the 90s to being one of the best actors of the current decade, Saif Ali Khan has surely come a long way. In fact, when I recall Saif’s debut in Parampara, he looked like a wimpy excuse of an actor in front of Aamir Khan. He looked totally lost in the movie and could have won the award for the worst actor. His voice was that of a crow(I remember a journalist saying that Saif needs to quit films) and there seemed to be nothing going right for him. He did movies like Pehchaan, Imtihaan, Yeh Dillagi and a lot of other movies where he looked like a side-kick of Akshay Kumar. He was no one’s favorite actor. With a silly hairstyle and a sillier grin, he was just an etcetera in Bollywood. But Saif had other ideas, he wanted to hang in there and prove himself. He never gave up and kept on slowly and surely drifting towards good, intelligent cinema.

The Transformation: Dil Chahta Hain did the jigs for Saif Ali Khan. He had truly arrived with a boyish cute look and a cuter hairstyle. If Saif Ali Khan was chweet in Dil Chahta Hain, he looked extra ordinarily handsome in Salaam Namaste. Saif Ali Khan was no more a wimpy excuse of an actor; he was a rocking, lean built performer. Saif Ali Khan kept on cruising along with one successful role after the other, winning fans by millions. He even managed to overshadow Shahrukh Khan in Kal Ho Na Ho. People knew that he was at ease at comedy but then he showed that he has a menacing side as well . He played the smooth-talking conman with a lethal charm in Ek Hasina Thi. Finally in 2004, Saif Ali Khan won a National Award for the Best Actor in Hum Tum. Saif Ali Khan is the only Khan who has won a National Award.

Saif Ali Khan’s surprise to his fans and detractors was his superb take of Langda Tyagi in Omkara. This showed that the Hum Tum appreciation he got was no fluke. No one could have imagined a stylish, suave looking Saif Ali Khan to easily step into the shoes or rather slippers of a cunning villager. With stained teeth and repulsive personality, Saif Ali Khan worked up the character so well, that it has been rated as his career best till now. In the same year he played Langa Tyagi, Saif Ali Khan acted as a city slicker with a devious mind in the English Indian movie Being Cyrus.

In 2007, Saif Ali Khan acted in Eklavya The Royal Guard and Ta Ra Rum Pum, which did not do well commercially; nevertheless Saif Ali Khan was praised. The first big hit of 2008 Race has Saif Ali Khan showing a streak of versatility as he shows that he is second to none while playing a character. He has nothing to lose and everything to win in Tashan, releasing on April 25, 2008. He has made the the color pink, look sexy 'n' macho, try Salaam Namastey for confirmation. Saif Ali Khan has drop dead good looks now and has a body that can make you hit the gym. Above all, he is a damn good actor.

Saif Ali Khan is Hot and COOL at the same time! And yes, his voice is now slick, smooth and mean, the crow has disappeared!

To sum it up:
Saif Ali Khan's strengths: good looks, a great body and an admirable repertoire of films.

Saif Ali Khan's versatility proved in: Omkara
