Why is it good for Bollywood actors and directors to blog, the benefits of Bollywood personalities blogging!

Increasingly, a lot of Bollywood personalities are turning to blogging. It is quite worthwhile for actors, directors or even any famous personality to opt for blogging; the simple reason being it renders a distinct personal touch. The opinion of the celebrity is not diluted, it is raw and crisp; as real as the person who writes it. It is said when a message passes from a source and exchanges various hands(or mouths), they attain a different proportion altogether when it reaches the object. Such things do not happen when a Bollywood personality blogs sincerely.

When Bollywood filmstars blog, they are directly connected with their fans, there is no middle –man involved. People discover the real you, different from what the media and gossip magazines project. Blogs of Bollywood stars reflect their experiences, their challenges, their joy and also views on various topics. Such blogs also make fans realize whether there is more to an artiste’s cerebrum than just “their” films.

Blogs can also be used by Bollywood personalities to clear the air, so to say. A lot of things are put in the right perspective through blogs. The Bipasha-Ronaldo controversy had saddened Bipasha and her beau John. Her fans were shocked and the media added more fuel to the controversy. Bipasha used her blog to project her real self and poured her heart out in the blog, which clarified a lot of things. Through blogs, an actor will not have the need to state that their views are convoluted or misquoted by journalists. The real reason for a celebrity‘s reason to act in a certain manner can be unearthed through a blog. For instance, Amitabh Bachchan in his blog stated that his decision to quit politics was based on the dilemma of a fan rather than Bofors or such other issue. Likewise, Aamir Khan had stated in his blog about why he chose to stick with carrying the Olympic torch.

There may be some personalities who may ask their secretaries or someone in their team to do the blogging bit. But it does not work-the fans will be able to see through you. Blogs are best, when a Bollywood star does it himself/herself, vocabulary and spelling mistakes be damned. It is the thought which counts. Also it is better if personalities do not lather the blog with self heaped praises.
