Vidya Balan Mala Jau de na ghari, Item Number from Ferrari ki Sawari

Will Vidya Balan number Mala Jau De Na Gari beat Katrina Kaif’s Chikni Chameli?. At the peak of her career, Vidya is doing an item number for Ferrari ki Sawari, a Vidhu Vinod Chopra movie that stars Sharman Joshi.

Vidya says that ‘Mala Jau De Na Gari’ is a Lavani song, a special song for her and not just an odd item song. "We have already shot that Lavani. And it is my ode to Maharashtra, where I was born and brought up, and which gave me so much in life. So, for me it's not an item number, but a special song,"" says she and blithely adds, "I love the lavani Mala Zau De Na Ghari from Natrang, which is truly amazing!"" The forever giggling girl even goes to sing the opening line of the song.

Though the crew was convinced that Vidya Balan, a brilliant dancer, had done perfect justice to ‘Mala Jau Diya Na Gari’, she felt thatit would be even better to get approval from traditional Lavani dancers. So they showed it to the Lavani dancers who found the song and the dance up to the mark. Well done, Vidya Balan once again.
