Going to be the success rate of Bollywood films in 2011, one can safely conclude that movies based on male bonding and friendship always seems to have a clear-edge. Bromance is the order of the datr. Let us look at some of the films in 2011 that had male bonding as an integral part in films
1. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara: Originally called ‘Running with the Bulls’, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has turned out to be a cult movie with its Facebook fan page touching 3,50,000 All the three friends in the movie are at some stage of their lives but are not yet totally happy. They have the best time of their lives once they go all out on a trip to picturesque fears, battling their inner fears, sorting out what is wrong in their lives, while having a helluva time snorkeling, sky diving, smashing tomatoes at each other and completing the famous bull run. Phew, did I forget them merrily singing the Doordashan medley?
2. Delhi Belly Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor have their life in deep shit, literally.. They stay in a matchbox apartment and have to fight over things like the orange juice and filling water. Put three guys in a room and there will be filth of all sorts, physical and verbal and DB excels in showing it the way it is. Beyond the insanity, the madness, the absurdity; the guys manage to give solid support to each other, specially when Vir and Kunal volunteer to save Imran’s girlfriend’s life.
3. Dil toh Baccha Hai Ji: Another movie that showed male bonding in a commendable manner. Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Omi Vaidya stay at Ajay’s place, they have their own private lives but one common scenario; all three lose their love.
4. Double Dhamaal: A mad-cap movie which may not have been a critic's delight but the audience was sold to the funny eccentric ways of Javed Jafferi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aashish Choudhary and Ashish Choudhary

2. Rock On (2008)- A movie about boy-band, what broke them and how they remerged as a force to reckon with.
3. Golmaal series: Though Sharman Joshi was not there in the sequel and threquel, the brat pack of Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade , Arshad Warsi and Kunal Khemu have always worked.
4. Munnabhai Series- The bonding between Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi on-screen is historical, need we say more?
5. Rang De Basanti (2006); A cult movie, there will never be one like this The way the friendship traversed in time from college campus to another era, the metamorphosis of each guy from being a casual bystander to a proactive rebel with a cause, this was a defining movie.
6. Dil Chahta Hai(2000): A trend-setting movie in every manner, this film revolutionized male bonding. The film had UBER COOL written all over it. Modern day friendship has never been documented in such a zingy manner before. The ideal buddy frame of the Aamir, Saif and Akshaye sitting on an old sea-facing wall and looking across to the horizon remains immortal. The three remain the ultimate poster boys of friendship.
