Heyy Babyy has been certified as a superhit all over India. Initially Heyy Babyy began to work in multiplexes but during the passing weeks, the movie began to perform exceedingly well in smaller theaters and interiors.
The success of Heyy Babby lies in its universal appeal and the magic of the baby Johaina. It is appealing to the masses and the classes at the same time. The movie has everything- hot women, cool men, humor, emotions, great music and one thing which movies do not usually have-a baby. The non-filmi peaceful baby is the pivotal point of the movie Heyy Babby.
The story of Heyy Babby: Heyy Babby is a story about three busy men Aarush (Akshay Kumar), Tanmay(Riteish Deshmukh) and Fardeen Khan(Ali) who are big time womanizers. Their sex lives and professional lives go out for a toss when a baby lands at their door step. They cannot figure out who the father of the baby is but somehow try to take care of the baby in their own stupid manner. However the baby becomes too much of a burden to them and they decide to leave the baby in front of the church in a cold rainy night. Conscience knocks as the men run to find their baby lying unconscious.
The three men fall in love with the little baby and decide to devote their lives to the baby's sake. They turn new leaf and decide to reform themselves. When everything goes fine, the baby is seized out of their hands. The mother Vidya Balan comes to take the child. Akshay Kumar then realizes it is his child and tries in vain to get his baby back. All three friends then decide to get the baby back at all cost. This is the plot of the movie Heyy Babby.
Plus points:
1. Meri Duniya video and Heyy Babby video: Farah Khan, Geeta Kapoor and Vaibhavi Merchant has done a beautiful job at picturizing the songs very well. The video Meri Duniya is one of the best looking videos ever in Bollywood. It is beautiful shot and captures the emotions of the three men and the baby with the right kind of touch. The song Meri Duniya is melodious hummable and the video justifies the song very well.
The other video Heyy Babby title track has some sizzling raunchy moves from 21 hot Bollywood actreesses-Amisha Patel, Koena Mitra, Dia Mirza, Shamita Shetty, Malaika Arora, Neha Dhupia, Amrita Arora, Tara Sharma, Minissha Lamba, Amrita Rao, Riya Sen, Sophie Choudhary, Masumi Makhija, Aarti Chhabria and Hrishitta Bhatt. Out of all of them, Diya Mirza looks the hottest though the choice is purely subjective and (suggestive)! Shanker, Ehsaan Loy has done a commendable job once again.
2. Performances: Akshay Kumar and Ritiesh Deshmukh have done an excellent job. Vidya Balan has not much to do rather than look coy or fume 'n' fret according to the mood of her character. This is one of Fardeen Khan's better performances. The baby of course, is a steal.
3. Best scenes of Heyy Babby: The interpolation of scenes with different stanzas of Meri Duniya song is excellent. Akshay Kumar's scenes where he tactfully flirts and beds Vidya Balan is also cleverly shot.
Minus points of Heyy Babby
1. The screenplay begins to slow down post interval.
2. Anupam Kher is plain boring and looks out of place in the entire movie.
