Music review Yuvvraaj

A.R.Rahman shows the stuff he is made of with another fantastic album Yuvvraaj. The music review of Yuvvraaj is not tough considering the songs are really enriching with poetic genius of Gulzar. His poetry comes alive in most of the numbers. The Taal team of Subash Ghai, A.R.Rahman and Gulzar come again with empowering music for Yuvvraaj. Quite like most A.R.Rahman songs, most of the numbers need to grow up on. One which simply catches your fancy right from the start is Tu Hi Meri Dost Hain sung by Shreya Goshal, A.R.Rahman and Bennny Dayal. What is really commendable is the way A.R.Rahman chooses his singers, including himself. The number Tu Muskura sung by Alka Yagnik is haunting and very lyrical. Simply a beautiful song.

Manmohini Mohey sung by Vijay Prakash is a classical number with funky music in the background..amazing orchestra in work. Shano sung by Sonu Nigam, Srinivas, Karthik, Timmy, Sunaina, Vivienne Pocha & Tina is peppy but not quite in the mould of Pappu cant dance saala, nevertheless passable. There is also a remix version of the song which has a slowish feel. A personal favorite and arguably the best song of Yuvvraaj is Dil Ka Rishta sung by Sonu Nigam, Roop Kumar Rathod, A R Rahman, Clinton Cerejo, Suzanne D'Mello, Vivinenne Pocha. It is a fantabulous song and possibly one of A.R.Rahman's all time best. The only flip side to the album is Sonu Nigam sung Mastam Mastam. It is avoid-um avoid-um.
